Getting Started with Pittsburgh

Ok, I’ll admit it - Pittsburgh has never been on my travel list. I’d estimate that of the handful of times I have thought about Pittsburgh in my life, I was likely actually thinking of Philadelphia about half of the time.

I got to spend four days in Pittsburgh recently, and I’m ready to eat my words.

A Very Durham Wedding

With literally no geographical middle-ground at which to gather our family, when we were deciding where to get married, the most logically illogical thing to do was to create our own hometown.

Explosion of Senses: Pike Place Market

What started as a humble public food market has grown into a must-see tourist attraction in the heart of downtown Seattle. Pike Place Market, opened on August 17, 1907 is the oldest continuously running farmer's market in the US, and currently attracts around 10 million visitors a year. And boy, can you tell.
